What to Do If a 360 Wig is Too Big or Too Small? (2025)

360 lace frontal wigs are at the height of their popularity, and more and more girls are choosing wigs instead of hair extensions.

You might ask yourself why that is. Well, there are a couple of answers. Extensions are great and can significantly boost your volume and add that much-needed length, but they cannot give you a completely new look like a wig can. Wigs do not require that you have any hair at all, which is why they’re also a lifesaver for anyone experiencing hair loss. 360 wigs enable you to try any hairstyle you want without doing anything to your natural tresses. That means cutting and dyeing are no longer necessary to change your look. Some girls like to have several 360 wigs with different styles that can be switched up.

What is great about 360 wigs is that the mesh material goes all around the perimeter of the piece, which ensures a very realistic look no matter how you style it. Another feature of a 360 lace wig is that the hair can be parted however you please. Unlike a full lace wig, 360 wigs are much more affordable while still giving you that seamless look. They’re straightforward to put on, and once they’re attached properly, you don’t have to fear them coming off.

When buying the Airyhair 360 wig, it’s essential to buy the right wig size. The sizes usually range from extra small, small, medium, and large. Sometimes, the wig might be too big or too small, which can be a problem because it will not fit properly. All wigs that you wear have to be the right size to look good and have that realistic appearance. If you did buy a wig that doesn’t fit and it’s too big or too small for your head, there are some things you can do to customize it and make it the correct size. In general, it’s much easier to adjust a wig that’s too big. So, if you’re unsure of the size, it’s always better to go for a slightly bigger size than a smaller one. This tutorial will explain how to adjust a 360 wig to fit perfectly.

Adjusting a 360 Wig That’s Too Big

If the 360 wig feels too loose or baggy at the back, it’s simply too big for your head. We don’t recommend using that wig because it won’t look good once you install it. You need to customize the wig first so that it fits snugly. This is done by cutting and re-sewing the lace. Here’s how:

Step 1

Measure the circumference of your head and write down the number.

Step 2

Try on the oversized wig and measure how much excess lace there is. Mark this on the back of the wig.

Step 3

What to Do If a 360 Wig is Too Big or Too Small?Using scissors, make an incision on the back of the wig and cut off the excess lace that you have measured.  When cutting, be careful not to cut any hair. Please measure the circumference of the new wig and compare it to the circumference of your head. Both measurements should be the same now.

Step 4

Connect the wig with a bobby pin or a clip and try it on. See if it fits appropriately now, and if it’s still too big, cut more lace off.

Step 5

In this step, you need to re-sew the lace. It is best to do this using a sewing machine, but it is also okay to do it by hand; just make sure to make a lot of stitches so that everything is secured.

Step 6

When trying on the 360 wigs, they should fit perfectly and be ready to be worn!

Adjusting a 360 Wig That’s Too Small

When a 360 wig is too small, that’s a slightly bigger problem than it being too big. Unfortunately, there’s not much that you can do here.

The only possible solution to this issue is to stretch the wig, but that is generally not recommended because it can damage the wig. That’s why buying the correct size in the first place is crucial.

How to Determine a 360 Wig Size?

As we have learned, it is better to buy a 360 wig that fits you 100% than having to cut and customize it later. To do that, you first need to determine the wig size. Take a tape measure, place one end on the forehead, and wrap it around your hairline. This is the circumference of your head, and you need to write that measurement down.

Now, take the tape and measure from the middle of the forehead to the nape of the neck. Those two measurements are the key point in determining wig size. If ordering the wig online, check their size chart and compare it to your measurements. For example, a medium-sized wig is usually about 22 inches in circumference and about 15 inches front to back. If the online store does not have a size chart, ask them to provide you with the measurements for each size. When you have determined the 360 wig size, you can safely buy it knowing that it will fit like a glove and there will be no adjustments necessary.
